Thanks for a wonderful experience!

I wanted to submit pictures my husband and I took while honeymooning at The Basin Park Hotel. We got married at the hotel, on the 4th floor "balcony" if you will. We met in November of 2001 and got married there on Feb. 1, 2002. Although there was quite a bit of remodeling going on while we were there, our stay was still enjoyable! We plan to spend every anniversary at The Basin Park! We really enjoyed our stay and recommend it to anyone who plans visits to Eureka Springs!

WE LOVE BUSES

The American Bus Association recently held a reception at the Radisson Hotel in Branson (MO) honoring Branson and The Ozarks Region for once again being the number one choice in a reader's poll conducted by the association's magazine Destinations. Representing Eureka Springs and Eureka Springs Landmark Hotels -The Crescent & Basin Park- is Bill Ott (left), director of marketing for the hotels. Pictured with him is Peter J. Pantuso, president and CEO of the American Bus Association. Also present at the event from Eureka Springs was Ms. Jackie Lohrum.

STOP? NOT UNTIL WE'VE COMPLETED THE TASK

Members of the Community Development Partnership of Western Carroll County accepted the challenge of cleaning up Onyx Spring, one of the dozen springs that made Eureka Springs (AR) famous. Heading up the crew was the general manager of the 1886 Crescent Hotel & Spa and 1905 Basin Park Hotel, Jack Moyer (far left.)

WE CAME... WE SAW... WE PAINTED!

Key staff members of the 1886 Crescent Hotel & Spa and 1905 Basin Park Hotel worked diligently to paint yet another house under the sponsorship of the Community Development Partnership of Western Carroll County. The CDP several times each year selects a home in the Eureka Springs' historic district that is in need of paint but that the owner is unable to do for himself or herself. Local businesses donate the paint while other businesses donate the man- and womanpower.

The 1886 Crescent and The 1905 Basin Park Management Teams- take time out from a recent planning retreat in Fort Worth, Texas, to walk (er, uh) ...ride on the wild side at Billy Bob's Texas. The team, captained by general manager Jack Moyer (center, black hat), came away with exciting plans for hotel operations for the year 2002.

Looking Back to the Past

My grandfather worked at Basin Park Hotel in the late teens, early 20s. I've attached a photograph of my grandmother (on the right), Sara Aileen McComb, with two of her friends, taken around 1917 while attending Eureka Springs High School.

Thank you for looking,
